Vänern, 3rd largest lake in Europe, is 8 km away. Long white beaches at Vita Sandar and at Näs. Vänern has plenty of fish and is a popular fishing destination as fishing with handheld tools is free.

Other points of interest includes Dalslands center with museums and exhibitions. The Håverud aqueduct and the Dalsland canal. Why not a tour with one of the boats on the canal? Nature reserve Kroppefjäll offers friendly and wild nature and is well worth a visit with hiking trails, lakes, fishing, and bathing spots.
