The sea outside of Senja is famous for its excellent fishing conditions. There are especially a lot of halibut and other large sized species to be caught. The fishing village Torsken (meaning "the cod") is located on Senja's western side, a great starting point for exciting excursions on the water. This holiday home is large and spacious can be found exactly here, with a terrace facing the beautiful fjord. Enjoy the fresh sea breeze and a wonderful view. The house has modern appliances like 2 heat pumps, massage shower and internet. TV with German channels, no Norwegian ones. 100 metres to the sea with a dock and fish cleaning table, with running water, lights and equipment. A 17 ft boat with 30 hp motor can be found by the dock, available for rent. 150 metres to grocery shop. Torsken is one of Senja's most active fishing villages, and you can watch while fishing vessels deliver their catch. 8 km to Gryllefjord and a restaurant. In summer there is a ferry between Gryllefjord and Andenes, meaning you can go on day excursions by car. In Andenes you can go on whale safaris with larger boats. There are several lakes and rivers on the island, where you can catch salmon, char and trout. Remember to buy a fishing license for fresh water fishing. There is a small apartment in the basement of the house, rented out separately. It has its own entrance.
