5 km to the nearest grocer and restaurant. 58 km to the center of Bergen with a wealth of shops, the fish market, Fløibanen which takes you to a viewing platform with a fantastic view of the city, and the old wooden building at Bryggen, the third most visited tourist attraction in Norway.

The speed boat to Hernar departs several times a day, parking close to the speed boat quay. The last departure on Saturdays is at 3:30 p.m. The beautiful archipelago in the area offers idyllic islands and coves. The sea area around the island is known to have plenty of fish, as it is the closest neighbor to the North Sea.
